PILATES

The Pilates Space has introduced Mat Pilates Classes at Langwarrin Community Centre - Fantastic!
Tamara is a fully qualified Pilates professional and is a member of the Australian Pilates Method Association.
The Pilates Method offers a safe environment for participants to improve posture, alignment and core strength with a focus on mind body connection and awareness.
Pilates offers numerous benefits to everyone for their overall health and well being.
Stay active and healthy this winter by booking in for a studio or Mat Pilates class.
AGE STRONG
Strength and balance program using resistance & weights, designed for older people. In partnership with Peninsula Health. An assessment by a Physiotherapist is required. "Strength is for Life". Attend one or two sessions per week during school term.
Who will benefit? Older people who do not exercise due to low confidence, fears of falls or chronic health problems.
Langwarrin Community Centre is part of the Agestrong Network, a group of local health professionals and leaders working together to increase safe and suitable strength and balance programs for older people in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula region.

YOGA 
Tutor: Sheryn
Suits beginners to intermediate levels of yoga. Includes yoga postures, gentle stretching, relaxation, breathing and meditation. Enhances well-being and a sense of calm, increasing flexibility and strength, improving self awareness and connecting more deeply within.
Please feel welcome! Sheryn is a qualified Yoga teacher and is registered with Yoga Australia. (Booking is essential)

TAI CHI
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese system of slow flowing movements and shifts of balance that strengthens the body and helps in confident ease of movement.
Some of the benefits claimed for tai chi include:Better mood with lower levels of depression, stress, and anxiety.
Greater aerobic capacity and muscle strength. More energy and stamina. Enhanced flexibility, balance, and agility.

KID'S KUNG FU and ADULT KICK BOXING

Combat Kai is a modern martial art dedicated to the growth of self development, self protection and self respect. We have been running self defence courses since 1989.
You will find an interesting mixture of boxing, grappling, kickboxing, Wing Chun and self defence, an exciting activity with especially tailored classes for adults, youth and children.

COUNSELLING
FREE COUNSELLING is available at Langwarrin Community Centre every Monday with Psychologist Heidi Smith. Sessions are bulk billed with a referral from a Doctor. Bulk billed means there is no fee as Medicare covers the cost. Heidi has over 18 years of experience working with children, teens and adults in a range of areas including:
