SKILLING UP -

To be eligible for a Government Funded Training place at Langwarrin Community Centre Inc. you must be an Australian citizen/resident or New Zealand citizen and “skilling up” to a higher level qualification than you already hold.

Those students over 20 years on 1st January on the year of enrolment must be "skilling up" to a higher level than they currently hold.  Enrolees of all ages can commence or undertake up to two government funded courses per year, although they may only commence two government funded courses at the same level over their lifetime.  If you are not eligible for a government subsidised place, please ask about our fee for service prices.  The onus is on the applicant to provide accurate information at enrolment.

CHC30113 CERTIFICATE III IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE

Learn to work in a range of early childhood education settings within the requirements of the National Quality Standard, as well as adhering to the Education and Care Services National Regulations.  Gain experience and knowledge in supporting children's wellbeing, learning and development in a variety of workplaces. 120 hours of practical placement to be completed during course plus homework.  
Includes units in First Aid for childcare workers & Food Safety. 

Classes two days per week on Monday and Tuesday

As a provider of nationally recognised training, it is necessary for Langwarrin Community Centre Inc. to go through a registration process to add this latest qualification to our scop of registration.

This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. 240 hours practical placement required, plus homework. Pre-requisite: Certificate III in Children’s Services good reading, writing and communication skills; a minimum of 900 hours expericnce as a paid worker in children's services within the previous two years. One session per week, day to be advised.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults.  It applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting and includes asthma and anaphylaxis emergency response.
