This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding. 



To be eligible for a Government Funded Training place at Langwarrin Community Centre Inc. you must be an Australian citizen/resident or New Zealand citizen and “skilling up” to a higher level qualification than you already hold.

Those students over 20 years on 1st January on the year of enrolment must be "skilling up" to a higher level than they currently hold.  Enrolees of all ages can commence or undertake up to two government funded courses per year, although they may only commence two government funded courses at the same level over their lifetime.  If you are not eligible for a government subsidised place, please ask about our fee for service prices.  The onus is on the applicant to provide accurate information at enrolment.

Learn to work in a range of early childhood education settings within the requirements of the National Quality Standard, as well as adhering to the Education and Care Services National Regulations.  Gain experience and knowledge in supporting children's wellbeing, learning and development in a variety of workplaces. 140 hours of practical placement to be completed during course plus homework.  
Includes accredited unit in Food Safety. 

Pre-requisite: HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an educationa nd care setting.

This course is for people wishing to work in aged care facilities or the home care sector of the community services industry.  Build the right skills to support people with special care needs to live full lives and maintain connections with their communities.  Focusing on person-centred care approaches, you will learn techniques and procedures to meet the needs of individuals.

The Certificate III in Individual Support has three different streams: Ageing Disability, HACC

This course covers the skills and knowledge needed for basic food safety and is essential for staff and volunteers who are involved in the preparation, storage and service of food and beverage or in contact with food and food preparation surfaces in their workplace.
